Hartzler Statement on United States v. Texas Supreme Court Decision

Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.) released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court's decision which upholds a lower court decision that President Obama overstepped his authority in granting de facto amnesty to illegal immigrants:

"The Constitution is clear: the chief executive is not a king. This ruling affirms this, protecting the constitutional separation of powers, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring the American people are represented properly through the legislative process. This decision is a win for all Americans. I am pleased to see the Constitution prevail, and a blow struck against this president's continued overreach."

Congresswoman Hartzler represents Missouri's Fourth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. She serves on the House Agriculture, Armed Services, and Budget Committees.
