Congressman Becerra: Department of Education Grant for Cal State LA Gives Californians Second Chance

Today, Democratic Caucus Chairman Xavier Becerra (CA-34) issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Education's announcement naming Cal State LA as an experimental site and recipient of the Department's Second Chance Pell grant program.
"I'm proud that the Department of Education has designated Cal State LA to improve the chances for many of our youth to see college in their future not our criminal justice system. All of our children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, deserve a second chance."
