SCOTUS Halts Obama's Illegal Immigration Action

Press Release

Date: June 23, 2016

Today the Supreme Court's decision in U.S. v Texas upholds a decision to halt Obama's illegal immigration order, effectively shutting down Obama's attempt to end-run the Constitution.

The ruling today upholds the federal appeals court in New Orleans that found Obama had no authority to legalize at least a million illegal aliens via his lawless executive actions.

"The answer to fixing our broken immigration system is not rewarding illegal aliens who have no respect for our laws by allowing them to jump in front of the line, past those who actually follow the law. In the trademark of his Presidency, Obama tried to bypass Congress, ignored the law, taunted the judiciary; but he has been stopped this time by the Supreme Court. This is a victory for America, the American people, and our Constitution," Huelskamp said.
