Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court's 4-4 decision in United States v. Texas, which lets stand the lower court's decision that the President's use of executive action to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants is unlawful:

"The Court's decision today reaffirms that according to our Constitution, Congress, not the President, writes the laws. This is a victory for the rule of law and the American people whose liberties are best protected when the separation of powers is respected," said Congressman Rothfus.
