Franken, Klobuchar, McCollum Announce Nearly $2.5 Million for Infrastructure Improvements at St. Paul Downtown Airport

U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, along with Representative Betty McCollum, today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded $2,466,567 for infrastructure improvements at the St. Paul Downtown Airport (Holman Field).

"The funds from this grant will help the St. Paul Downtown Airport make critical investments in its infrastructure to move goods and people quickly," Klobuchar said. "Investing in our airports will boost performance, enhance safety, and help support good local jobs."

"The St. Paul Downtown Airport provides important business and recreational air service to the Twin Cities area and supports many good jobs," Franken said. "This grant will allow the airport to make smart investments that will keep the facility operating in an efficient and safe manner."

"This is an important federal investment in St. Paul and highlights the need to keep our critical infrastructure modern and safe," McCollum said.

The grant will aid in improvements to the taxiway and runway at St. Paul Downtown Airport.
