Support for Loretta Sanchez's bid for U.S. Senator continues to grow in the San Joaquin Valley with Fresno County Supervisor Henry Perea backing her Senate candidacy today.

"Loretta Sanchez is the only candidate that fully understands the challenges and struggles that working families face to make ends meet, put food on the table, and pay our bills, because she comes from a working class family herself - she is one of us," said Fresno County Supervisor Henry Perea. "Loretta has demonstrated that she will represent all Californians by coming to our communities and talking to farmers, workers, business leaders, teachers, students, families and community leaders about our issues. You can't represent the people you don't know, and that's why I encourage others to join me in supporting Loretta Sanchez for U.S. Senate."

Strong support for Loretta continues with recent endorsements including the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters, the National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU) Local 303, and recently, several Orange County elected officials switched their endorsements from supporting Kamala Harris to Loretta Sanchez.

"Henry is a strong advocate for working families and I'm proud that he is backing my candidacy for the U.S. Senate," said Sanchez. "As Senator, I will not forget the Central Valley and will fight for good paying jobs, funding for early education and access to quality healthcare."

Supervisor Perea joins with other Central Valley leaders in backing Sanchez for U.S. Senate including, Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16), former Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante, and former State Assemblywoman Sarah Reyes. In addition, the following Central Valley Mayors recently endorsed Congresswoman Sanchez: Victor Lopez of Orange Cove, Robert Silva of Mendota, David Cardenas of Fowler, Scott Robertson of Selma, Mayor Pro Tem Raul Cantu of Sanger, and Mayor Pro Tem Daniel Parra of Fowler
