Sanchez Continues to Secure Congressional Support in California

Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez and U.S. Senate candidate announced today the endorsements of Congressman Mark Takano (D-Riverside), Congresswoman Grace Napolitano (D-El Monte), Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Palm Desert) and Congressman Scott Peters (D-San Diego), in the race to replace retiring U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer.

"I've known Loretta Sanchez for almost 20 years. I volunteered on her first campaign for the House in 1996, and watched her fight long odds and win against an entrenched Republican Congressman. Since then, she's won even more victories on Capitol Hill, where she has been a tireless advocate for working families in her district. She'll bring that same drive, energy, and focus on the issues that really matter to the United States Senate. The primary election for the U.S. Senate contest is on June 7th, 2016 with the top two vote-getters advancing to the November, 2016 general election. The seat is open due to the pending retirement of incumbent Senator Barbara Boxer and is the first open Senate seat in California in 24 years.
