Angie Craig Announces New Rothenberg and Gonzalez Political Report Rating in Campaign for Congress

Angie Craig announced today that the Rothenberg and Gonzalez Political Report has changed its rating of the open seat race for Congress in Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District from "Pure Tossup" to a "Tossup/Tilt Democratic."

"I am thrilled to learn that the Rothenberg and Gonzalez Political Report has moved this race to the tilt Democratic category," said Craig, a former business executive with St. Jude Medical. "Our message is resonating with voters throughout the 2nd Congressional District. We know that more now than ever we need to cut through the partisan gridlock that plagues Congress and find solutions to the every day concerns that face Americans. I am committed to continuing to advocate for access to high quality public education and affordable college, economic development that creates good-paying meaningful jobs, and protecting Social Security and Medicare for our seniors."

In the report, Rothenberg said: "Under the current local and national circumstances, we're changing our rating from Pure Toss-Up to Toss-Up/Tilt Democratic, putting another GOP-held district into a Democratic column. Democrats need to gain 30 seats for a majority and Minnesota's 2nd should be one of the first to fall."
