As an American History teacher, one of my favorite speeches is President Lincoln's 2nd Inaugural Address in which he spoke of the need to, "care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan."

Our mission to serve our nation's Veterans -- who have risked their lives to defend this nation -- continues today.

As a Congressman, I will be a strong advocate of honoring our Veterans and work to ensure they receive the services they deserve.
