U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) issued the following statement regarding President Obama's rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline:

"By denying the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, President Obama once again put the wishes of radical environmentalists ahead of the pressing needs of hardworking American families. His unfortunate action says no to the creation of thousands of new jobs, no to economic growth and no to American energy security. Providing for our country's energy needs is an integral part of our national security. Until the president places a priority on these critical needs, American families will not be able to enjoy a healthy economic future and a secure nation."
