House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy released the following statement on House passage of H. Res. 658, condemning the terrorist attacks in Brussels:
"The House offers its wholehearted support to our European and NATO allies as they track down those responsible for the attack and reassess and strengthen their security in the weeks and months to come. But terrorism knows no boundaries or borders and history has shown us that evil grows when unopposed. While we continue to pray for the victims, their families, and the people of Belgium, the best way to honor them and prevent further attacks is to defeat those who pledge their lives to radical Islamic extremist groups. We must destroy ISIS abroad and counter their violent ideology by proudly defending our values and democratic institutions."
