Conservation building named in honor of Congressman Kingston

RD&C facility in Richmond Hill

Congressman Jack Kingston (R/GA-1) received quite an honor Saturday, to mark his efforts in preserving Georgia's beauty. Take a look at the new Jack Kingston Conservation Center in Richmond Hill. During his years in office, Kingston has helped secure $16 million for various conservation programs.

The center will focus on water conservation and managing other natural resources efficiently.

"We're going to continue to make sure farmers get information on the best management practices and pond construction," said Kingston.

WTOC's own Sonny Dixon served as emcee. He was joined by our general manager Bill Cathcart.

Rep. Kingston says he's flattered the building bears his name and will work hard to continue his efforts for conservation.
