Rep. Tulsi Gabbard Praises Announcement of Vote on Talia's Law

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) released the following statement today following announcement that the House will vote on Talia's Law on Tuesday, February 9 under suspension of the rules:

"I am relieved to hear that the House will vote on Talia's Law next week. I've spoken to Talia's mother who shared the tragedy that their family has endured, and her wish that no other child suffers the way that Talia did. While this legislation cannot right the wrongs that failed to prevent Talia's death, it will help to better protect thousands of children in military families, who like Talia, may otherwise fall through the gap in the military's insufficient reporting requirements."
