Iowa is a leader in renewable energy production: wind, solar, bio-fuels. However, Government must stay out of the way and allow the innovators and entrepreneurs the freedom to develop the technologies that will heat the homes, run the factories, and fuel the vehicles of the future. We in Iowa have the abundant natural resources to be energy independent, to not be beholden to the OPECs of the world. I will push for policies that spur Iowa innovation by reducing burdensome regulations that are often a barrier to innovation.
