Cochran Statement On The State of The Union Address

Statement

Date: Jan. 12, 2016
Location: Washington, D.C.

U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, tonight released the following statement regarding President Obama's final State of the Union Address:

"The President has delivered his valedictory speech to the nation, and now Congress will resume efforts to promote economic growth and protect the nation's interests in an increasingly unstable world. Unacceptable unemployment rates in many states are an indication that better policies and ideas are needed to provide more good-paying jobs for families in Mississippi and throughout the country. I will continue to work toward those goals to make the United States a stronger, more secure nation."
