Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Nancy Reagan

Statement

President Barack Obama has issued a proclamation ordering the lowering of flags on all public buildings and grounds to half-staff immediately and until sunset on the day of interment in honor of former First Lady Nancy Reagan

Yesterday, Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement:

"Nancy Reagan dedicated her life to the American people. Her commitment to educating young people about drug abuse, promoting drug awareness and reducing stigma forever changed the way Americans view this disease, and her efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer made a difference to generations of women. I am grateful for her service, and Tom and I send our deepest condolences to her children, her entire family, and her many friends, loved ones and colleagues."
