Issue Position

The United States' armed forces have been the guardian of freedom throughout the world for decades. The rise of radical Islam in recent years has brought a new threat to America. Steve believes we must maintain a strong military that continues to be second to none. There is no doubt that our operations in Afghanistan have had problems and that mistakes have been made. Steve supported the operations in Iraq that led to the stabilization of that country. He also supports the opinions of the generals on the ground in Afghanistan as they work toward a solution in that important battleground in the War on Terror.
