U.S. Representative Mimi Walters (CA-45) today released the following statement after voting in support of H.R. 2017, the Common Sense Nutrition Disclosure Act. This important bill would protect small businesses from unnecessary costs and regulatory overreach from the Obama Administration.

Said Rep. Mimi Walters, "Small businesses are the backbone of our economy - and government shouldn't make it more difficult for them to thrive and expand. This vital legislation would provide relief to the delis, grocery stores, and pizzerias operated by small businesses owners by allowing them to provide nutrition information to consumers in a user-friendly manner. In doing so, we're giving our local businesses the ability to focus their energy and time on growing their business and not distracting them with cumbersome regulatory burdens. I look forward to the passage of this pro-business legislation in the U.S. Senate."
