U.S. Representative Mimi Walters (CA-45) today released the following statement on the announcement of Speaker John Boehner's (OH-08) resignation from Congress.

Said Rep. Mimi Walters, "Speaker Boehner has led our country and the Republican conference with distinction and honor. He has worked tirelessly to move our country forward and to build a historic majority in the House. His resignation will leave a tremendous void in Congress. I thank him for his dedicated service and leadership, and wish him all the best in his next stage of life."

Walters represents California's 45th District and sits on the House Transportation and Infrastructure and Judiciary Committees.
