Rothfus Statement on Planned Parenthood Investigation

The House passed H.Res. 461 Wednesday. The resolution establishes a Select Investigative Panel of the Committee on Energy and Commerce to investigate Planned Parenthood. This resolution comes in the wake of a series of undercover videos published by the Center for Medical Progress this summer. The videos showed senior Planned Parenthood officials admitting unethical and potentially illegal activities related to abortion, fetal tissue procurement, and the sale of human body parts.

"This taxpayer funded organization and its senior officials must be held accountable for any violation of federal law they may have committed," said Congressman Rothfus. "Anyone who watches the videos that sparked this investigation would find their content appalling, barbaric, and indefensible. Women and families in America deserve much better than the callous indifference reflected in these videos."
