U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp announced $66,479 in federal funding to strengthen science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education for North Dakota students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
"STEM education is critical in preparing students to enter a competitive 21st Century workforce," said Heitkamp. "UND has proven to be a top research facility and I know that by supporting teacher training it will equip our state's teachers with the tools they need to keep North Dakota and our country leading a global economy."
