National Defense
There is no greater oath an elected official can take than when he "swears to support and defend the Constitution" against all enemies. The federal government has few constitutional roles--one of which is to provide for our common defense. The safety and security of our citizens should be our government's number one priority. Dr. Larry DiChiara supports ensuring that our men and women in uniform have the full support of Congress.

Serving Our Veterans
Our veterans deserve better. Larry will fight to guarantee that when our veterans return home they have access to the best health care and resources to assist in job placement and assimilation back into daily life. To do any less is unacceptable.

Energy Independence
Americans are both innovative and resourceful. However, oftentimes, burdensome government regulations hinder the entrepreneurial spirit and slow the development of progress. Larry will work to alleviate government regulations to allow for new research and technology aimed at decreasing our necessity for oil. In addition, Larry will support measures to unlock America's oil-rich lands for drilling and work to free us of our dependence on foreign oil. Projects such as the Keystone Pipeline not only make us less dependent on foreign oil from Middle Eastern countries, but they create thousands of guaranteed jobs. Larry will fight to expand our domestic energy infrastructure.

Maintaining a Strong Relationship with Israel
The United States has no more consistent ally than the State of Israel. This relationship is born from a special bond between our two nations established at the creation of the modern state in 1948. In the intervening 67 years, Israel has been the strongest supporter of the United States in international relations and forums, especially with regards to policies considered before the United Nations. The strength of the US-Israeli relationship comes from our shared values. Israel is the one true stable democracy in the Middle East. Israel has a free press. Israel has a capitalistic free-market economy. Israel recognizes freedom of religion. Israel has an established rule of law.

Securing Our Borders
Ronald Reagan said, "A nation without borders is not a nation." Larry could not agree more. America is a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. America serves as a beacon of hope and opportunity for people all around the world. However, we cannot promote the American dream by encouraging ignorance of the rule of law. Larry opposes amnesty and favors securing the border, enforcing existing state and federal law, and creating a more effective means of legal compliance. We must dismantle our current welfare nation, and securing our borders is a bold first step.

Eliminating Career Politicians
While those in Washington blame the system, Larry blames Washington. We must demand change by demanding the end of career politicians who value seniority over making the best decisions for our nation. Larry fully supports term limits for all elected officials.

Guaranteeing Our Right to Bear Arms
As a member of the National Rifle Association, Larry is an avid sportsman and staunch defender of our Second Amendment right to bear arms. Larry understands the importance of self-defense. Larry is committed to defending the right to own and bear arms and defend one's own property.
