Issue Position: Veterans Take the Lead

Date: Jan. 1, 2015
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Veterans

Our veterans have honorably served our nation. It's time that our nation return the commitment and ensure that they are treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
As your Congressman I have:

Met with area veterans on a quarterly basis in El Paso to listen to their concerns. I work with them to set the agenda for our office and the VA and to report out on the priorities that they have outlined for me.
Worked to make sure that I have the most effective veterans' service staff of any member of Congress. There are too many El Paso veterans with horror stories of being kicked around from one office to the next. "It's not my problem" is not in our vocabulary. We work to resolve every issue that a veteran brings to us.
Worked to hold the VA accountable to provide timely access to quality care and benefits for all veterans.
Successfully brought in millions of dollars to the local VA to provide more people to serve El Paso veterans.
