Statement

Date: Dec. 10, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement after the announcement that Faraday Future will build a 3 million-square-foot electric car manufacturing plant in North Las Vegas, bringing 4,500 jobs to the area:

"Today's announcement about Faraday Future is good news for Nevada and its growing clean energy economy. This project will create thousands of jobs and further advance the Silver State's position as a national clean energy leader. I have long been a strong advocate for creating a good environment for clean energy businesses, and this project is the continuation of many years of work to promote innovation through public-private partnerships and smart federal and state policies. I thank Governor Sandoval, Mayor John Lee and the Governor's Office of Economic Development for their work in this latest success story and look forward to teaming with them on additional projects. I will continue working to ensure we provide businesses with the incentives they need to build on Nevada's expanding clean energy economy."
