North Country Bridge Expected to Reduce Local Flooding

Governor Cuomo announced the opening of a new bridge carrying State Route 22B over the Saranac River in the hamlet of Morrisonville in Plattsburgh and in Schuyler Falls, Clinton County. The bridge was built as part of a $10.6 million project to improve safety and reduce the likelihood of ice jams and flooding at this location.

"This bridge is a vital part of the region's transportation network, which provides access to communities and businesses along the Saranac River," Governor Cuomo said. "The new bridge will help ensure a safer, more dependable and less flood prone commute for those who depend on it for years to come. Its successful completion is another example of this administration's commitment to supporting community vitality by improving infrastructure."
