Congresswoman Marcia Fudge Statement on the 9/11 Anniversary

Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) issues the following statement in remembrance of September 11, 2001:

"Today is a day of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude. Fourteen years ago, many Americans lost their lives in one of the most heinous acts of terrorism our country has ever seen. Hundreds of firefighters, police, and first responders rushed to their aid, many of them sacrificing their lives to save others.

"We will never forget the heroic efforts and acts of valor witnessed on that historic day. My thoughts and prayers go out to all victims and affected families.

"Since September 11, 2001, this nation has made strides to come together in the name of democracy and freedom. It is in this same vein we must continue to fight terrorism at home and abroad. The future of our nation and the entire world is at stake. Let us work together and continue to pray for peace and stability."
