Casey, Toomey Introduce Resolution Honoring Red Land Little League for Performance in 2015 Little League World Series

Today, U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) announced they introduced a resolution honoring the Red Land Little League Team of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, for their performance in the 2015 Little League World Series. The Little League team won the Little League Baseball World Series U.S. Championship on Sunday, August 29, defeating a team from Pearland, Texas with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the sixth inning to win 3-2. The resolution calls on the Senate to congratulate the team, as well as recognize the hard work of the team's members, parents, families, and coaches, including the people of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, as well.

"I am proud to congratulate and honor the Red Land Little League Team on their performance in the Little League World Series," said Senator Casey. "Their hard work is a result of the dedication and determination not only of the team's members and families, but also of the people of Lewisberry, who spent countless hours supporting the team throughout the season."

"The Red Land Little League team showed America what it means to compete for the love of the game," said Sen. Toomey. "They were humble in victory, and gracious in defeat. I congratulate the players, coaches, and their families on a remarkable run in the Little League World Series. The people of Lewisberry, and all of Pennsylvania, are proud of these outstanding young men."
