Senator Blunt Statement on University of Missouri Interim Appointments

Today, the University of Missouri's Board of Curators announced that Mike Middleton has been named interim system president. The board also announced that Dr. Hank Foley, who was appointed interim chancellor for the MU campus last week, will take over his new role effective immediately. U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) released the following statement:

"The University of Missouri has benefited tremendously from Mike Middleton's leadership over the past three decades, and I believe his thoughtful and steady voice will be an asset throughout this transition. I am grateful to him, and to interim chancellor Hank Foley, for their willingness to lead as students, faculty, and administrators work to move the campus and the system forward. I wish them both the best in their new roles."
