Barack Obama Threatens to Shut the Government Down Unless Congress Funds the Trafficking of Baby Parts

Statement

Date: Sept. 18, 2015
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Abortion

As the House passed two bills to protect unborn babies by placing a one year moratorium on Planned Parenthood and protecting infants born alive, Congressman Tim Huelskamp (KS-01) responded to President Obama's threat to veto any bill that defunded Planned Parenthood and released the following statement:

"It is the height of political extremism, not to mention unethical, to hold the entire government hostage to one special interest, especially one that is engaged in the wholesale slaughter of unborn babies and the sale of their organs to the highest bidder. President Obama's advisers would do well to remind him that he is the President of the United States of America, not the President of Planned Parenthood."

Planned Parenthood has given nearly $2 million to help political pro-abortion candidates over the last two election cycles, including Barack Obama.
