Iran Bill
This week the House passed the Justice for Victims of Iranian Terrorism Act. Iran currently owes $43.5 billion to the families of the victims of its state-sponsored acts of terrorism. This bill prohibits the president from lifting any of Iran's sanctions until they pay their debts. It's outrageous that this president would even consider entering into a deal with Iran without even acknowledging these debts that are owed for the loss of innocent lives.

Planned Parenthood
Almost daily, more details continue to unfold surrounding the horrific acts taking place at Planned Parenthood. This week as we worked to pass a bill to continue funding the government, the Planned Parenthood issue was one of our biggest concerns. Issues such as this are too important to me and my constituents, which is why I couldn't vote for a bill that included taxpayer dollars for Planned Parenthood.

While we are given annual opportunities to defund the president's largest abuses like amnesty for illegal immigrants, Obamacare, Iran, and Planned Parenthood, we've yet to take advantage of them. The American people have expressed outrage at the actions of this president, and the inaction of this Congress, and rightly so.

For three years now, Senate Democrats have blocked votes on bills important to all Americans. Now we have control of the Senate and it's time for them to start passing our conservative bills and make this president work.

Breaking Down Barricades
This week was also the anniversary of the when President Obama shut down the government in 2013 and threw up barricades around the World War II memorial to keep our veterans out. In true fashion, these WWII vets from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Honor Flight tore down the barricades and let themselves in to enjoy THEIR memorial.
