U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) today released the following statement regarding Pope Francis' historic address to Congress:

"Today was an historic day in Congress and as a Catholic, it is one that I will never forget," said Davis. "Pope Francis' message of hope, compassion, and leadership reminds us that we are a nation that is stronger united than we are divided. I hope Washington will use his message to work together to make our country even greater."
