There is nothing more personal than the decisions made by Americans and their doctors about their health care. Unfortunately, President Obama's government takeover of health care threatens to take these decisions away from Americans and their doctors and give them to bureaucrats in Washington. If the so-called "health reform" law is not repealed, we may wake up one day only to find that when our loved ones become ill they will wait weeks, perhaps months to see a mediocre doctor of the government's choosing only to be told by that same doctor that he or she cannot help because the treatment must be limited by the government protocols. I strongly believe that we must repeal and replace this flawed law.

I also believe that the health care status quo is unacceptable and support reforms that will harness the power of competition and choice to drive down the cost and increase the quality of health care, such as enacting medical liability reform and allowing Americans to purchase health coverage across state lines. In addition, I believe that we must pass legislation that will reduce waste, fraud and abuse within our health programs. I want to ensure that you can get the health care that you need, when you need it, and at a price that you can afford without the federal government coming between you and your doctor. That is why I've cosponsored two alternative health care reform plans that repeal Obamacare and replace it with patient-centered health care reforms (H.R. 2300 and H.R. 3121).
