"As Chair Emeritus of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, I know firsthand the importance this partnership is for our Taiwanese-American communities. As a representative of ethnically diverse Silicon Valley, I am proud of the contributions Taiwanese-Americans have made to the technology industry, and I join them in celebrating the growing, collaborative economic relationship between the United States and Taiwanese companies. I look forward to continuing to work with President Ma to strengthen our U.S.-Taiwan partnership and ensure peace and prosperity for our peoples, the region, and the world."
