As a former small business owner, I understand firsthand the importance of small businesses to our economy. Washington has tied the hands of small business owners and job creators with backbreaking regulations and irresponsible fiscal policies that have weakened our economy, slowed innovation and decreased job opportunities. These burdensome regulations cost small firms $11,000 per employee. My jobs plan for America, A Jobs Recovery, offers a set of ideas for how we can create jobs without spending billions of tax dollars that our nation does not have.
