I believe that effective U.S. foreign policy requires a strategic blend of military, diplomatic, and economic solutions. As we seek stability in the Middle East, we must actively support our regional allies like Israel and Jordan, effectively root out terrorist organizations and terror funding, and combat extreme ideologies which create volatility. As a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, I understand that we cannot afford haphazard engagement or unclear strategies; our national security must be prioritized above partisan politics.

Further, the U.S. must continue to remain vigilant regarding rising threats, whether they be transnational terrorism or aggression by a large nation. When governments overstep national boundaries, they create precedents for acquiring territory by force and international stability is put at stake. As these nations push the limit through small acquisitions, the U.S. must execute a zero-tolerance policy through economic sanctions and regional military support.
