Heller Memorial Day Statement

Today, U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement in recognition of Memorial Day:

"Today, we set aside time to pause and reflect upon the loss of those who have offered their lives for our freedom. No words can fully express the profound gratitude we feel for the fearless warriors who selflessly made the ultimate sacrifice for us and died defending our country. They stood against tyranny, fought oppression and injustice, and defended liberty with the highest measure of honor, valor, and courage. They demonstrated the greatest love a person can have by laying down their lives for our country.

"As Nevadans recognize Memorial Day, we must not forget each of Nevada's brave veterans as well as those currently serving in harm's way. And to our extraordinary Gold Star Families -- I assure you that your loss will never be forgotten. We owe you all a debt that can never be fully repaid," said Senator Dean Heller.
