Hoeven: NDSU Awarded $72,500 for Medical Research

Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering has awarded North Dakota State University (NDSU) $72,500 in federal funding. The funds will go towards the developing a "smart" drug delivery system, which will enhance a drug's efficacy and concentration while reducing side effects.

"Efficient drug delivery systems are of critical importance for healthcare," Hoeven said. "NDSU is a world-class research institution making remarkable advances, and this grant will help its researchers discover ways we can improve a drug's effectiveness while reducing side effects."
