North Carolina State Legislative Election 2006 National Political Awareness Test

ZERO BASED BUDGETING- A better understanding of the programs we are currently funding (some duplicated -some unnecessary) will lead to better budgeting. Cost to do the study would be offset by savings recognized by eliminating unnecessary programs. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION- Spending for all departments is being amplified by the cost of providing services to illegal immigrants (education, health care, law enforcement, courts etc). Cost to deal with this problem might be offset by savings recognized by solving the problem.
