My Orphan Productive Extensions Now ~ Accelerating Cures & Treatments (OPEN ACT) Act ? has the potential to add hundreds of new drugs and treatments for those affected with rare diseases, as well as a new surge in biotechnology jobs. We need more effective treatments, but don't have access to them. This bill will improve our health care system while creating jobs. Additionally, I am working on two Veterans initiatives: to help transition active duty military back into civilian life; and to provide data integrity in VA data collection and reports.
