Minnesota Congressional Election 2012 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Human Life begins at the moment of conception. Our laws must respect this fact. I will fight to protect the unborn, From conception til birth. I will fight to criminalize human pesticides such as "the pill", and RU486, and all forms of child-killing by abortion.
Yes Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget. In order to balance the budget,

No do you support reducing defense spending?
No do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes do you support reducing Medicaid spending?
Yes do you support reducing Medicare spending?
Yes Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
In theory, yes I support capital punishment; but with our flawed system, I have grave reservations.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
Taxes are necessary for "the common defense" (U.S. Const. Art. 1 Sect. 8 Par. 1). Taxes are also needed for infrastructure, specifically, roads. Beyond these basic needs, taxes enslave the US Citizens. Taxes provide for socialist ends; as such, they undermine Life, Liberty, & the pursuit of happiness.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
The premise that the Federal Gov't be directing the education of the youth contradicts the rightful authority of parents to raise their children as they see fit.
Yes Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
No Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
After the Federal Gov't succeeds in regulating solar and volcanic activity, then they can turn their attention to human contributions to earth's atmospheric conditions.
Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
[Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?] Candidate answered "neither" with an arrow to both yes and no I do not find any such restrictions in the U.S. Constitution. Perhaps the regulations relating to fully automatic weapons & shot-gun modifications, should remain intact.
No Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
Compulsory giving is the fruit of statist ideals; such as "giving" is not to be confused with compassion, which depends on the free, deliberate choice to help one's neighbor.
No Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
No one in their right mind can conceive of extraditing 12 million people. The logistics & capital outlay would be incalculable. That said, illegal immigrants ought to bear the burden of doing Public Service, on a temporary basis, to offset the burdens which they lay upon the U.S. taxpayers.
No Do you support same-sex marriage?
Government has no authority to contradict Natural Law and Divine Law. Marriage is between one man and one woman.
Yes Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
Yes Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon?
The U.S. should support & strengthen its ties with Israel.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
Such a measure would be a good initial measure for the phasing out of the entire Social Security Ponzi Scheme.

First of all, we must make it illegal to kill unborn babies. No nation that spills innocent blood can expect the blessings of heaven. I will fight to pass legislation which will protect the unborn, from conception til birth. Second, I will work to guard this nation from all encroachments by foreign/enemy politics, including Islamic encroachments in our laws and in their enforcement. Thirdly, I will fight to end the socialist policies, -the entitlements- which paralyze our economy and which undermine human dignity- Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security- all entitlements must be phased out.
