Pro-lifeCandidate AnswerDo you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Other or expanded principles
NoCandidate AnswerIn order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
NoCandidate AnswerIn order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
Other or expanded principles

There are consequences for losing the war.

YesCandidate AnswerDo you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Other or expanded principles

Don't wish to tell other people what to do with their money, but we should know who is paying for influence by getting 'our' public servants elected.

YesCandidate AnswerDo you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
YesCandidate AnswerDo you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Other or expanded principles

Support the current administration's policy of low taxes and reasonable regulations. The resulting economic growth includes P.E.R.S. as a beneficiary too. Wish my home state would try some of that of our own.

NoCandidate AnswerDo you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Other or expanded principles

Adopting (minimum) standards goes against the principle of 'be the best you can be'. Though we should have some sort of standard.

YesCandidate AnswerDo you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
NoCandidate AnswerDo you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Other or expanded principles

Federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions may sound rational to some people, but the programs these have evolved into merely benefit the few economically strong and politically connected. Over-regulation seems to always lead to corruption.

NoCandidate AnswerDo you generally support gun-control legislation?
Other or expanded principles

Gun control is more befitting for a totalitarian state.

YesCandidate AnswerDo you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Other or expanded principles

It was in fact an operating manual that infringed on Constitutional rights, for example on the religious freedom of my beloved Little Sisters of the Poor.

YesCandidate AnswerDo you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
YesCandidate AnswerDo you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Other or expanded principles

We are a country of citizens, with the rule of law.

NoCandidate AnswerDo you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Other or expanded principles
YesCandidate AnswerShould the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
YesCandidate AnswerDo you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
Other or expanded principles

Diplomacy first: Live and let live. Churchill wrote the war could have been avoided. But just as we have a Second Amendment to justify a citizen for the First, but 'keep clean hands', military action by our nation of course should only be the very last resort, not only in the Middle East but anywhere in the world. What are we fighting for, should diplomacy fail. What is there to win by it. Engaging in an overseas land war would be especially worrisome and costly. And be sure we don't pick a fight against the God of George Washington.

Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.

Maintain Constitutional Rights, invest in transportation infrastructure, and encourage good health with a supportive health care system.
