Yes | d) Should abortion be legal when the life of the woman is endangered?
Yes | e) Should federal subsidies be prohibited from being used for abortion procedures?
Libertarians prefer not to use the words "pro choice" or "pro life" but instead believe that the government is not able to "fix" this issue. In this case I suggest that individual liberty and freedom is what is most important. |

I would like to see us go back to the days of bread and water and chain gangs in prisons. Prisons now offer education, job training, and cable TV. It's an easy cake walk with no incentive to fear the consequences and individual makes when they break the law. Let's privatize the correctional system and make it a place to fear again if you break the law. |

There can be no serious attempt to solve the problem of poverty in America without addressing our failed government-run school system. Nearly forty years after Brown vs. Board of Education, America's schools are becoming increasingly segregated, not on the basis of race, but on income. Wealthy and middle class parents are able to send their children to private schools, or at least move to a district with better public schools. Poor families are trapped -- forced to send their children to a public school system that fails to educate. |

I support a clean and healthy environment and sensible use of our natural resources. Private landowners and conservation groups have a vested interest in maintaining natural resources. Pollution and misuse of resources cause damage to our ecosystem. Governments, unlike private businesses, are unaccountable for such damage done to our environment and have a terrible track record when it comes to environmental protection. Protecting the environment requires a clear definition and enforcement of individual rights in resources like, water, air, and wildlife. Free markets and property rights stimulate the technological innovations and behavioral changes required to protect our environment and ecosystems. |

Yes | b) Do you believe that the Second Amendment guarantees the right of individual citizens to own guns?
Yes | c) Do you support allowing individuals to carry concealed guns?
No | d) Do you support a ban on assault rifles?
Libertarians affirm the right to keep and bear arms and oppose all laws restricting the ownership, manufacture, or sale of firearms. I oppose all laws requiring registration of firearms or ammunition. We support repeal of all gun control laws and we demand the immediate abolition of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. We favor the repeal of laws banning the concealment of weapons or prohibiting pocket weapons. We also oppose the banning of inexpensive handguns and semi-automatic weapons. |

1. Establish Medical Saving Accounts. Under this program, you could deposit tax-free money into a Medical Savings Account (MSA). Whenever you need the money to pay medical bills, you will be able to withdraw it. 100 percent tax deductible. 2. Deregulate the health care industry. We should repeal all government policies that increase health costs and decrease the availability of medical services. Let competition and the free market control the costs. 3. Remove barriers to safe, affordable medicines. We should replace harmful government agencies like the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) with more agile, free-market alternatives. |

Anyone who is a threat to this country must be dealt with quickly. The United States can no longer afford to rebuild the governments of rogue nations. The United States needs to leave the United Nations and start looking after it's citizens. The United States is constantly being taken advantage of by the UN and this must stop now. |

If we want to move forward we all have to take a live and let live mentality. I believe God created all of us equal. A person?s age, race, sex, sexual orientation, religion or physical disabilities should not separate us. In the mid-1960?s the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Loving versus Virginia, that the state could not discriminate against members of a minority group from marrying. I support marriage equality for all citizens. |
Job Creation: Our State is Broken! There is NOT going to be any significant factory jobs creation in the near future. Our state and congressional leaders have not actively solicited major industries to relocate to Michigan and most will not because of the high state taxes for companies and the demands of unrealistic union leaders. We have to cut federal and state taxes for small business owners. We must make it easier for our companies to compete across state lines. The fastest way to fix Michigan is to become a Right-To-Work State. |
