Personal Hero and Why:
My mom. She exemplifies leadership and integrity in the face of obstacles and challenges.
There must always be a commitment to the needs of working families, like protecting Peach Care and fighting for better schools, increased regional funding for Marta and Grady, and keeping JOBS in Georgia. I believe that more can be done to maintain the stability and viability of Georgia's businesses, both small and large. We must also seek solutions to protecting Georgians from the foreclosure crisis. Additional priorities include: clean air and water quality, eliminating traffic congestion and smog, efficient constituent services, improving public education, reducing high crimes rates, unemployment, and affordable housing.
Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I am convinced that Georgia needs a new generation of optimistic and solution-driven leadership with fresh thinking to transform our community and the state of Georgia. Our communities are in need of leadership that is committed to protecting working families, tackling tough facing our state, while bringing tangible and common sense ideas to the capitol. This change must include fighting to keep JOBS in Georgia, while bring tangible and common sense ideas to the Georgia state legislature. The needs of our children must be addressed, protecting Peach Care and providing a quality education, are examples. The needs of our aging population and youth can no longer be ignored. We must also seek solutions to protecting Georgians from the mortgage foreclosure crisis.
