Hobbies or Special Talents:
15 years martial arts and kickboxing, Black Belt in Karate. YMCA Kickboxing instructor, golf, chess, but most of all, enjoy spending time working our land and with my wife and 4 boys.
Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I want to run to support those living in Champaign, Logan and Shelby Counties and make sure that we have a strong voice in state government. I feel that in an era riddled with special interests, the voice of the people gets drowned out. Public policy decisions greatly affect the freedom of Ohio citizens and businesses and our ability to create jobs.
All work is honorable. During my lifetime I have worked in a factory, worked heavy highway construction, was a hod carrier for brick layers, an office employee and today I work in a great family business. I would like to bring this diverse experience and perspective to our state government for the benefit of all working people. I am deeply concerned about the materially poor and want to support opportunity for a good education and employment in the private sector. To truly be free, a person must have a job and a pay check of their own, to do with what they please. Increasing dependence on the government only creates just that, dependence. It denies a person the freedom to grow themselves, work hard, own a home, or whatever their desires may be.
