Pets (include names):
Pip the Zebra Finch flies free in my home office. He keeps us company with his cheerful beeps.
Priority Issues:
My top priorities are:
Create Green Jobs to benefit our communities by ending fossil fuel subsidies and investing in green energy;
Free Higher Education by ending the debt load weighing down our young people and boost the economy;
Universal Healthcare through Medicare for All;
A Financial Transactions Tax for Wall Street earning billions in revenue in Illinois alone and letting Wall Street pay its fair share;
Get Big Money out of politics by passing a constitutional amendment that says corporations are not people and money is not speech.
Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I am running to represent progressive leadership and solutions for the people of the fifth district. As a Green Party candidate I do not take corporate or union donations, therefore I am answerable only to the voters. I offer voters an opportunity to vote their values and send a progressive Green Party champion to congress.
