Reason for Seeking Public Office:

Frustrated with the mess the politicians have made in Washington?

Think that the Washington politicians just don't get it as they continue to pay more attention to lobbyists, unions, and big spending special interests than they do to their own constituents?

Ever shake your head and wonder what the Washington politicians are thinking as they continue to grow the size and cost of government while piling trillions of more debt onto the backs of American citizens?

Worried that we run a real risk of losing what makes America a special place if we continue to let those same Washington politicians make decisions that make a mockery of our shared conservative principles.

If you answered yes to even one of those questions, then you and I are on the same page. We are long overdue for real change in Washington, and that's why I'm running for Congress.

I'm not another career politician. I haven't spent 10, 12, or even 14 years in office looking to make a career out of politics like so many of today's politicians do.

I first ran for the State Legislature 5 years ago because I truly believe that the best government is one that President Abraham Lincoln so famously spoke about in his Gettysburg Address -- A government of the people, for the people, and by the people.

It was clear to me then and it's even clearer now that President Lincoln's vision is being ignored by too many of our politicians.

Instead of standing up for their constituents and fighting every day to represent them, too many politicians throw in with lobbyists, unions, and big spending special interests and represent their interests instead of yours.

From my very first day in the Arizona House of Representatives, I've done my very best to always put the interests of my constituents first.

It's why I've always fought for smaller government, less spending, and lower taxes.

It's also why I've always held a full-time job while serving in the Legislature. I believe that career politicians are out-of-touch with the real world that their constituents live in.

The problem in Washington is clear. We have too many career politicians and not enough leaders who are willing to do the right thing for our country no matter what the political consequences may be.

As your next Congressman:

* I will always do what's best for America.

We can fix the mess in Washington. In fact, we have to if we want to ensure that our children and grandchildren have the same opportunities that we have been blessed with as Americans.
