Reason for Seeking Public Office:
"I'm running for the Arizona Corporation Commission because I believe the ratepayer should be protected against special interests. Over the past several months, we have seen several special interest groups spending millions of dollars trying to influence the members of the Commission. You, the ratepayer, need someone on the Commission who will stand up to the special interests and stand up for you.
With modern technology changing by the day, the Corporation Commission will be presented with many difficult issues. I will make every difficult decision with a belief that the interests of the ratepayer are far more important than special interests.
I've lived a life of service as an Assistant Secretary of Agriculture (unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate) in George W Bush's administration and Mayor of Paradise Valley. I am one of a handful of American citizens selected by the United States House of Representatives, Speaker of the House to give the rebuttal to the President's weekly radio address. I sincerely hope that you will support me so that I can support you in continued service as your next Corporation Commissioner."
