Reason for Seeking Public Office:
"I will go to Washington as your future elected Congressman and lead with courage, honor, integrity, faith, passion, leadership and dedication. As a war veteran who recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq, I will gladly suit-up again, but this time to fight for all of us in Washington.
The terrorist attack in the district shook not only the residents of San Bernardino, but all of America. Today's failed policies of this Administration have made America less safe, not only at home, but abroad too. I pledge to destroy ISIS and any other terrorist organization that threatens our citizens and future of the Free World.
We need more better paying jobs and less bureaucracy. Taxes should be brought under control. Our schools need reform and our military needs the tools necessary to fight and win wars. America can run on a lean budget without sacrificing quality service from our government. I will fight for efficiency and accountability in all of our Nation's agencies and departments.
Families no longer feel safe in their homes. Violent crime in California is up 12% from just last year, and higher in many parts of this Congressional district. Criminals belong behind bars, not in your neighborhood. Gang members should be tried under the Federal RICO act and sent to Federal prison where they will do 90% of their time instead of the 50% seen in California's prisons. Any registered gang member or parolee caught with a gun in the commission of a crime should spend 20-years in prison. Period.
As a native Californian, I have witnessed firsthand the dissolving of family and community values. Education must become a top priority. Doing so will reduce youth drug and gang violence while providing kids a better opportunity to succeed. Our disabled Veterans need better care. The wait times for medical service and benefits is an atrocity. Small businesses need smart legislation in order to grow and hire more people. America has the potential to once again be the great Nation that we remember and I will fight every day in Congress for a better tomorrow.
America has the potential to once again be the great Nation that we remember and I will fight every day in Congress for a better tomorrow.
As a law enforcement officer with 20-years of service, I had an opportunity to work within a number of local communities, including Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, San Bernardino, Loma Linda, Grand Terrance, Highland and Redlands. Meeting the good hearted people of our neighboring communities while on duty and hearing their concerns allowed me to get to know what this district needs.
As a husband and father, I am forever reminded that we march towards something greater than ourselves. We all share a responsibility to God, our community and each other as individuals to work hard and make this world a little better than it was the way we found it. By holding one another accountable, there's no limit to what we can accomplish. As such, please rest assured that my service to you as an elected official will be of the highest caliber."
