A vote to amend the Louisiana Constitution to allow up to 10% of the funds to be cut from the budget, while providing that each cut over 5% be approved by the State Legislature.
Highlights:
-Increases the amount of funds that can be cut from the budget from 5% to 10% of the fund from which the cut is being made (Article VII). -Requires each cut over 5% to be approved by a majority of both Houses of the State Legislature (Article VII). -Requires mail-in ballots if cuts are made when the Legislature is out of session (Article VII).
