Title: Workplace Religious Discrimination
Vote to pass a bill which requires employers to give accommodation for religious beliefs so long as they do not impose an "undue hardship" on the business itself.
-Cannot prohibit an employee from wearing religious clothing or taking time off to participate in a religious observance or practice. Accommodating these activities should not create an undue burden on the business (Sec. 2). -Extent of burden imposed on the business is measured in terms of the financial resources of the business and the nature of the accommodation (Sec. 2). -No teacher shall wear religious dress while engaged in the performance and duties of teacher (Sec. 4).
